On
November, 27-28, 2003 in the town of Cherkasy has taken place
the First Ukrainian Regional Investment Forum "CHERKASY REGION 2003" which was organized
by Cherkasy Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cherkasy
regional state administration.
- The purpose
of the Forum - presentation of investment, industrial and business
opportunities of the enterprises of region, maintenance of conditions
for direct negotiations of the Ukrainian and foreign businessmen,
activization of work of owner's structures of the region.
In the work
of the Forum and the exhibition of production and investment projects
participated more than 70 enterprises and establishments of the
region and the representatives of the National Chamber of Commerce
and Industry of Ukraine and regional CCI: Volyn, Zakarpatye, Kirovograd,
Kremenchug branch of Poltava CCI, Odessa, Rovno, Kherson, Lvov,
Vinnitsa; the Ukrainian - Bavarian educational centre of business
to the Ukrainian CCI, not state analytical centre "Institute
of Reforms" (Kiev), Associations of assistance to international
business and development (Kremenchug), representatives of diplomatic
representatives of foreign countries to Ukraine: USA, Hungary, Poland,
Netherlands, Russia, mass-media.
Within the work
of the Forum have passed thematic meetings: "The role of CCI
in the process of attraction of foreign investments", "Long-term
bank crediting - the lien of economic development ", "
Ways and methods of improvement of investment attractiveness of
the Cherkasy region ".
The representative
of the Administration of the President of Ukraine Oleg Korenev,
the Chairman of the Cherkasy regional state administration Vadim
Lyoshenko, the Chairman of the Cherkasy Regional Council Gennady
Kapralov, the President of the Cherkasy CCI Vladimir Tsymbal have
taken part in the work of the Forum. The forum began constant realization
of similar actions in Cherkasy region, that will stimulate the financial
- investment streams in region and development of foreign trade
activities.
