Background of the
Agency Development
Cherkasy Agency in Investments promotion and Investors’
support service is developed in partnership with the Cherkasy regional state
administration on the basis of Memorandum about collaboration signed on February, 10, 2009.
The main goal of Agency
activities is assistance in stimulating of the inflow of foreign direct
investments to the Cherkasy area and the city of Cherkasy by forming positive
image of region, searching of potential investors, providing services to
investors which already work in the region, providing counseling services to
the structures of state administration and local self-government related to the
improvement of regional investment climate.
Basic tasks of the Agency

Marketing and economic monitoring of the region,
assistance in forming of positive image of the region, search of potential
investors with the purpose of attracting investments;

Assistance in work of investors, provision of wide
variety of services, and also post-investment support of investors;
·
Collaboration with the state administration and local
self-government in relation of improvement of regional investment climate with
the purpose of the inflow of foreign direct investments to the economy of region.
Marketing of the
region and search of investors
- Search of potential strategic and portfolio
investors;
- Distribution of information brochures, CD and
other materials about the Cherkasy region;
- Participation in organization of seminars,
forums, conferences concerned with investing in the Cherkasy Region;
- Advertising of successful investment projects;
- Collaboration with international organizations
which help to attract foreign investments;
- Publication of information about investment
activities on international web-sites and portals;
- Publication of data about Cherkasy Region in
foreign mass media;
- Establishment and support of relationship with
international investment funds, banks, venture funds and private
investors;
- Collaboration with international investment and
commercial banks, international public accountant, consulting and research
companies, and providing them
information about economic potential and investment possibilities
of region.
